Only external shots of this aircraft and no release date as yet but will be for P3dV4.4+ Maybe they will make one for X Plane11 and other platforms in time.

It certainly was a very elegant aircraft, but no more Aeroplane Heaven for me.

Had to pack in watching - can't stand aircraft and music.

I just turned the volume down all the way so I did not have to listen to it!!

Flew in a Caravelle when over in Paris for the 1971 airshow, the RAF wanted another new mini collecting from a depot in Gloucestershire and I drew the short straw. Up to the airport for an afternoon flight to Heathrow, sat somewhere in the middle of the left hand row but would have much preferred to fly on the Trident.

Good flight with a bit of turbulence encountered, remember when on landing they all broke out clapping hands which I found rather strange. As it was mid-afternoon and I was not expected until the following day I rang B.O.A.C. Operations to ask if my sister was in the country (Air Stewardess). Informed that she had arrived this morning on a flight from New York so gave her a bell and given a bed for the night. All was OK that day but next morning getting up early she didn't half lay into me for wanting to stay the night. :hide:

Jet Lag was the reason for her outburst but she was a bit fiery at the best of times. Legged it to central London then forward and onward to collect the car and straight back to Paris that day.

Thanks Nigel. Had seen early untextured shots ages ago - but assumed this died on the vine. Glad to see it’s shaping up nicely.

The AFG/HJG Caravelle was one of my most flown jet tube liners. I miss it very much, and knowing it (and the FStations Bucc) couldn’t port to P3dv4 was the main reasons held me back.

Now at least for la belle Caravelle, I might get a second honeymoon. Though those Rui Cristina paints will be hard to beat ....

Hi Delta-Lima well at least when it is released you will then be able to fly her as many times as you like. There is an actual Caravelle Simulator in France so posted a link below as you might be interested in this. I think it is running on X-Plane Platform by looking at the landing light beam.

Good vid - I prefer the rattle and clanking of cockpit vids to musically “scored” ones, by a long shot. Especially if you’re trying to understand the details in the procedures.

Well, here’s to hoping this one will see the light of day soon.

There are quite a few videos relating to that one I linked but just came across this one video for the HS748 and Caravelle, on board footage but old film.

I also hate music being played when watching a video especially if the commentator is in competition with it!!
