Flight Replicas opinion please

Post by Airspeed »

Hi All,
Flight Replicas are having a hefty sale at Just Flight.
Should I take advantage of a couple of discounts, including their Halifax?
The Heron also looks tempting, but sometimes I think that, and folks here wouldn't dream of it.
There were some positive comments around its release date.
Thanks

I have both and haven't any moans. Th Heron is a bit stately and slow but I presume it was like that in real life.

I've got both.
They're both good models, although I haven't flown the Heron in ages. The Halifax is really nice, the only downside for me is the textures seem a bit lifeless, although they're by no means bad.
Overall FR make good models, nicely detailed, not too complicated & easy on the frame rates.

I don't have the Halifax, Mike (although you've got me thinking) but bought the Heron when it first came out. She flys fine, bit slow The mk 2 is better with the retracts. Less drag. As Dave says textures are bit dated and flat but she still works in P3d v4.
I remember Dave B helping me get Flight Replicas to reverse the logic on the landing lights. The VA picked them up as on when they were off and vise versa :)

Even later. I have several Flight replica products that I use all the time, very much recommended.
