Not sure whether to go for this or not as there is now another one also in development for X-Plane.

A bird in the hand will probably sh!t on your wrist.
Re: Islander for X-Plane
I live the Islander and love that it’s still going. How much of a difference can there be between the two models though. It’s not exactly a complex aircraft.

My first impression is the forthcoming Nimbus version will be superior.

Did anyone get either or both of these? If so, what did you think? Which would you recommend?

Re: Islander for X-Plane
Looking at them both I think the Nimbus is better inside although the other has better seats for passengers. Which one I would go for? My choice based on screen shots would be the Nimbus.
How they compare in flight is another question.

Nigel.

Re: Islander for X-Plane
I went with the Torquesim version as it was briefly on sale. From the few flights I've done so far it seems to be pretty good, although I do like the look of the Nimbus VC more. Never having sat at the pointy end of one I can't comment on how true to life it is, but it flies pretty much like I expect an Islander would, noisy and slow
