New Paint Scheme fro RAF Voyager
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

If that figure is for the repaint - No.1 son tells me it wouldn't cost anything like that.

It was a refit, and from what I hear, most of that was for some countermeasures similar to those on the 146 CC1
It’s a bit garish imho. Something like the old transport command colours would have been a bit more regal.

I don't mind it too much, though as Ben said, the old Transport Command colours were much better.
Not sure about the gold "United Kingdom" though, think it should still say "Royal Air Force" in blue.

I think it’s making an out and out political and patriotic statement. I see no problem with that. EricT

Yes, Eric, but a little lacking in "class" I feel. More of a Kiss me Quick hat than a Crown

Hi Ben. I was in the process of editing my post to say that it may not be historically accurate and maybe not politically correct today but I have no problem with that. Eric
ps how are you and your girls keeping?

Its a bit like the white BA 757's that just had the Union Jack tail with the white body - Open Skies (which I loved, even though they were on the French register.)
Agree with DG, the gold lettering looks a bit... "cheap" if that makes sense. I bet the guys flying her will get some stick.
All good thanks Eric, although the heat has been making the girls a little grumpy. Another two months with no school and I'll be going a bit mad. Hope you and Julie are keeping the best.

That was exactly my thought when I first saw the scheme. A little garish, but I'm very proud that we finally have an official aircraft representing the UK. Other nations have similar, so why not us?
