Nice job Ben. I haven't looked into scenery placement yet as I've been too busy banging my head against a wall trying to get my animations to work. :wall:
Apart from the initial problems, is it fairly easy to place objects? There's a few areas i want to enhance at some point.
Have you managed a transparent windscreen Dave,
Not been able to work out a decent glass setting as yet.

If it’s any consolation I can’t even get glass to work on my static models yet. I haven’t really tried though. Wanted to get the process of getting it from SketchUp into the sim right in my head first.

Not yet, Rob. I've not been looking at textures / materials much yet, mostly trying to figure out animations. I think I've got a handle on those now, with a few exceptions, but I'm not having any luck with visibility tags at the moment.
It doesn't help that I'm trying to learn Blender at the same time!

Have you tried adding your own custom animation entries?
Looks like the anims are mostly FSX.
I like the fact that each model carries its own modeldef files .

Yes, I copied all my Rapides modeldef entries into it's own xml file. The anims seem fine, it's the vis code i can't get working at the moment. :dunno:

Does that include the prop vis?

Prop vis worked, nothing else did. I've just had a light bulb moment and added GUID entries for all the vis parts and an empty animation in Blender with a matching name. Now they work!

OK, onto the next problem!

Getting there...

Still a long way to go. Not happy with the prop and glass transparency, and some vis code still isn't working for some reason, but overall I'm pleased with the progress.
Textures are just the basic albedo (diffuse) map, no bump or metallic maps yet.
