Oh, Kevin, your try was very close, but after a hard look at the detail, I think that the air intake shape was enough to separate the two.
About those MiGs:
This has been a learning process for me. I had read about, but not seen the detail of, the differences between 23 & 27.

That crew position close to the tail is tempting, Pete, but I think this one's closer still; in fact, that's what attracted me to use it. If you need a slightly larger section, I'm happy to oblige.

Whatever it is, its bits have certainly been blitzed! I have absolutely no idea what it is but the roundel is unusual. Crack that and maybe crack the aircraft (a bit more).
