What a lovely sound. Gave me goose bumps!
When I lived alongside the main runway at RAF Leeming we used to get a free air display every Leeming Battle of Brittan Dinner evening. I believe it was flown by the late Ray Hanna - the master of the Spitfire - who then stayed on as a guest for the evening. The display was very 'spirited' to say the least and well worth watching despite being eaten alive by the midges
