FS2020 Mach Loop
I managed to carve out an hour in the sim and took a trip through the world famous 'Mach Loop' yesterday, it's absolutely fantastic...a million miles better and more immersive than other flightsim's. This I straight out of the box with no mods or addons used. Can't wait for some fast jets aircraft.

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
What are all these square concrete buildings meant to represent ?
Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
Cheers Dale, enjoyed that.
Take a look at this video, today's quiz is why does he fly upside down over hills?

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
It says to avoid pulling Gs which is wrong.
Should say to avoid negative G dot as well versed as RAF at low flying

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
That is correct Rick but there is also another reason...................................

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
There are two reasons why this manoeuvre of inverting the aircraft over the summit of a hill are made.Take a look at this video, today's quiz is why does he fly upside down over hills?
Firstly, when having to keep low by inverting the aircraft the pilot still maintains visual of the crest of the hill whereby if remaining upright he has no field of view of the terrain as he climbs over it.
Secondly by inverting the aircraft he has more control than he would have by virtue of negative 'G' also it enables the pilot to be able to keep the aircraft much lower to the ground.
When low level flying I have always used this technique, so much more fun!!

Nigel.

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
Then there is still one more that was practiced from my RAF Jaguar days and still done now. The clue is in what happens to the nose of the aircraft when you invert it.

Nigel is quite right but the question is why?

Re: FS2020 Mach Loop
I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but they are auto generated buildings. The system used doesn't know that it is a barn for example so a generic building is placed there.
@Rick Piper, any chance you'll be bringing your T2 to the sim?
