Got the bottom two no problem. Not the top one.

Re: Bitzer project
Interesting, I got the top but not the bottom two. Hopefully my second guess is closer.

Hi Chris, chrispbits wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 14:23I didn't see that Mike, must get some new eyes! It's funny but we rarely see something we're not expecting to see if the something is part of a familiar object.Take a close look at 17-01p in the original post.
I totally agree with that.
Hope that you took the comment in the light hearted way it was intended (laugh WITH you, not AT).
I grew up with the impression that anything that didn't fit the Airfix model didn't look right.
I certainly wasn't aware of the engine variations evident from my later years of picture gawking.
I'll insert an example here in a few moments. The Wellington looks weird:
And, WHO ever associates Lancasters with radials, or Halifaxes with Merlins?

Re: Bitzer project
Thank you All for your responses.
It's that time again, Gentlemen (where are the Gentlewomen?)
Diamond badges to both Keith and PeterW as previously mentioned
Gold ones to PeteP and Brian Franklin, actually the first two entries, who nailed 2 & 3, but not the top one, and to Joe (blanston12), who cracked all 3, with his revised reply.
Eric identified no.2 without trouble, while Chris (chrispbits) picked no.1 correctly.
Silver to you Gents
To our friend Den, a sew-on patch for his ID of no.1 as the 242 glider version.
In summary:
TOP is Gotha 244 (Den's 242 had the same look, but no engines)
no.2 Handley Page Harrow
BOTTOM Bristol Bombay.
A tricky bunch indeed, and congratulations to all who gave it a go.

Re: Bitzer project
Is this bits-enough for you?
No need to get right down to exact variant, after all, some kits have alternate parts to build different models.

Re: Bitzer project
A costly mistake by not putting 242/244, although it showed clearly on the photo I found. I've now got to hunt for a needle and cotton to sew that patch on my pyjamas.

Re: Bitzer project
Den,
It seems that the kit-bashing one was unpopular, maybe I shouldn't do that again, but maybe everyone was just having time off.
EDIT: I've read Ben's post below.
All five replies were right first time, arriving in this order:
Mick (woody901), Brian (Spot) a first-timer , Keith (Dev One), Peter W (MilesMan), Chris (crispbits).
Thank you Gentlemen, your badges are here:

Ah! Didn’t realise it was a question Mike as it didn’t have the usual number super imposed on it. This is what happens when I’m glancing through on my phone before starting work.
Ben.

I really don't know how you chaps do it on the phone. Once or twice, stuck in a hospital waiting room, I've tried, but I always have to check the computer when I get home.
