Oh agreed mate completely.. you gotta start somewhere and the correct colour is the best place by far. The thing with flightsim is that it will highlight where the sun is coming from even if there isn't one visible through an 8/8ths sky
No one said this was easy

Old sailors never die.. they just smell that way!
Re: Naval Escapades!
I always enjoyed Dave's gallery postings of his various nautical themed adventures in the sim world....reminiscing on the site today got me in the mood to take a flight from Culdrose and potter about with an RN task group off the coast. Thought i'd post some images to resurrect this thread and as a tip of the hat to the man himself.
Ideally would've liked the Lynx in the dark blue scheme but finding a lack of repaints and complexity in redoing the existing model!
Meeting up with Invincible, Ambuscade, Coventry and Broadsword (not in shot)
Approaching Coventry...
Landing on
Approaching Invincible
Lining up alongside
Touching down
Need to try the SHAR next!
Cheers
Gary

Lovely stuff Gary. Can't beat a bit of RN. I imagine him filling his pipe as we type
Ben.

I get seasick and couldn't swim to save myself, Gary, but they were fresh and bracing screen shots, thank you for sharing.

Re: Naval Escapades!
Those look absolutely superb, Gary!
Funny you should mention SHARs - I dug out Ade Orchard's Joint Force Harrier book and been reading a fair bit on the near GR7/G9 Harriers. Been also flying the Razbam model in P3D quite nicely.
I miss the Wilco Harrier, but have uninstalled it as it doesn't seem to run properly in P3Dv4.5. I've installed your Invincible from years ago to fly off, and enjoy it as with your other carriers, immensely.
Thanks again,
Daniel

Great images and sentiment. Nice to see this thread brought back to life.
