Ilyushin Il-12 for FS2004

Post by FlyTexas »

I can't imagine anyone here still uses FS2004 but I thought I'd share this very nice model. It's an Ilyushin Il-12 built by Jens B. Kristensen. A very talented guy named 'Kazachek' has produced seven high quality paint schemes for this model. He's also updated the VC. All in all I think he's done a wonderful job breathing life back into this old model. The model can be found here...about halfway down the page. :)

Thanks Brian. Agreed - they are wonderful models. There's also a rework of Jens' IL-14 done by the same author. The -14 is (or was) a little more common and seems to have a better selection of repaints available. I had this model installed in FSX and P3D at various points, and don't recall any issues in either sim....so it does port over.

Hi Mark. :) Thanks for the heads-up regarding the other model. I'm flying the Il-12 in FSX and it seems to work just fine. The only thing I've changed is I adjusted the prop texture alpha channel. This is a really nice model.

I still use FS2004 and still enjoy it. I suppose I must be seen as a bit of a dinosaur by some but that’s ok. :) EricT

You mean FSX? :)

I won't show this thread to the xp laptop happily running fs2004, not least because I disabled the wibbly web thingy on it. :worried:

I have P3DV5, MSFS, FS9 and X-Plane.

For concurency I use X-plane but to fly british classics I still use FS9, in fact I still develope scenery for it.

I run MSFS once a week for the updates, then close it.

Many thanks a great find - with a suitable propdisc and thumbnails works seamlessly in fsx.
