To all the folks suffering floods, fires, and severe COVID infections around the World, thoughts are with you.
The condolences of course, are for any losses you have suffered. *-) :((

As far as the Covid goes here in the wonderful UK, every-one can mix without the need of face masks, go night clubbing and basically continue with life as though Covid did not exist any more!! :wall:

As for Babs, she is not protected by the jabs as her immune system is none existent in fighting off this Covid so we will still wear masks regardless!!

Now all we have to do is wait a few weeks/months for all hell to break loose.

Medics are even suggesting children at 16-18 years of age should have the jabs, I always thought that sort of age group is referred to as young adults for Christ sake but having watched them on the news they may be in the 18 plus age range but appear to have the common sense of 5 year olds!!

As one young female said about night clubbing "This is what life is about" !!! :-O :wall:

Rant over..................................For now that is!! :hide:

Regards
Nigel.

I read the online Daily Fail today and had to laugh re the latest anti vax protests. The amount of tattooed yahoos protesting all afraid of the vaccine yet quite willing to attend some filthy tattoo parlour and allowing themselves to be inked upon by some greasy oik with questionable hygiene. 8)

. Nigel don’t forget that these @rseholes can vote, even the 16 year old ones in Scotland and Wales!
Alex, would you mind if we sent some these idiots to Canada after all you’ve got plenty of space. We wouldn’t even ask your government to pay their fares. :hide: EricT

Now now gentlemen. Let’s be clear. The vaccine does not stop you getting COVID. The vaccine does not stop you spreading COVID.

For those vulnerable or at risk it greatly reduces the likelihood of hospital admission.

For those unfortunate to be at risk / vulnerable and unable to take the vaccine, physical protection is the best protection.

So many varying opinions
If masks are useless, why recommend healthcare workers to wear them?
And if you're already sick, isn't that bolting the gate after the proverbial horse?

University tests, have, however, proven that cloth masks do not protect you against fire and flood :agree:

Interesting video. As lay people we don’t really know what is the true situation but like others I find wearing masks very uncomfortable. I also think about the breathing in of my own exhaled Co2 which can’t be good over an extended period. *-) EricT

Nobody said they were useless Mike, but for medics and the ill (or those at high risk). For the general population they may give some a sense of comfort too. I’ve no objection to wearing one in a shop if it makes other feel more comfortable.
