Re: EU GB Central
Has anyone bought it and tried it?
I find the product descriptions vague/ambiguous. I'm sitting on the fence regarding buying it.
I was also hoping for models with multiple LODs, but I believe the LODs contain the same geometry and simply have different texture resolutions. If this is the case it is a bit half-arsed.
There is also no mention of PBR.
Finally, on the product pages (whether online or inside Central) I can find no mention of how many POI there are and how many of them are bespoke models placed singularly. The Announcement page on the ORBX forum does mention " almost 500 POIs", but that isn't the full answer and such figures aren't repeated on the product pages

Re: EU GB Central
Yes Dave I've got it. Pretty good for such a low price with no discernible performance hits

Re: EU GB Central
Yepp, I have it too.
Not ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination but for a tenner you can't really complain and there's a good lot of points of interest represented. Some curious inclusions and omissions (e.g. Conwy Castle is included but Beaumaris isn't, BBC Media Centre at Salford Quays is included but Imperial War Museum North isnt, Bolsover Castle is included but Chatsworth House isn't) but in the end it's someone's choice of what to make. Some of the POI's are available by using freeware versions at Flightsim.to but it's good to have them all collected up in one bundle rather than lots of separate addons. If I'd paid more for it I might have been a bit disappointed but at the price it's OK.
It would be good to have a list of POI's and while there is a map in ORBX-Central showing them all I haven't found anything that resembles documentation and no way of excluding an individual object if you find a clash with freeware stuff.

Re: EU GB Central
Excuse the dumb reply, but if a building is not modelled (ie Imperial War Museum North for instance).... what do you see instead? Is it a generic building model placed on top of the photo scenery?
Thanks

Yes, it's whatever MSFS would have put there before.
