60th Anniversary!!

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

In case any of you are not aware, today is 60th anniversary of very first TRIDENT flight!! According to aviation news, it is also very first trijet flight in the world!!!!!!!

Happy 60th birthday to Trident!!

Thanks, Aharon.

I wasn't aware, but it's certainly an event worth celebrating, especially it's development of the blind landing system. Also, the Trident 3B was the only 4 engined (5 if you count the APU) tri-jet ever built.
I remember as a youngster, my Dad would occasionally take me to LHR for a day's spotting. It seemed like nine out of every ten arrivals were Tridents and I got bored of them. How I'd love to see one on approach today!

One of the most iconic of British Aircraft. Only a shame that we are no longer leaders in the field of aviation.

the Trident is probably my favourite Jet airliner. :thumbsup:

One of these days I'd love to have an updated one in the Sim...
