Re: Ouch!
It's a good thing the 'Daily Mail' didn't get hold of this story first. It probably would've read "20,000 horrified spectators watch as eight helpless passengers cheat death in aircraft crash". Glad everyone is safe.

Re: Ouch!
Metro News - whoever they are - has suggested a front wheel failure as the most likely reason for the nose over.
Either Metro gets a kick in the nuts for not researching their story or the aircraft owners do for a non standard modification. Just when I think that the standard of journalism has reached rock bottom, someone has to prove me wrong. I ask you??

Re: Ouch!
Must get SWMBO booked up for a trip in this Rapide!
17 years ago I watched it light up the starboard wing fabric with a backfire from the engine on start-up, and apparently it repeated the start-up trick in 2012. At least they got their flight this time.
I wonder at what time the attending firemen and self-boarding cargo collectively shifted the CG back behind the wheels. I'm glad it ended well with just dented egos for pilot and/or maintenance crew who last signed off the brakes.

My small daughters and I went for a trip in her from Duxford when she still had the green and cream livery. A very enjoyable flight.
Re: Ouch!
I bet that was great fun. My UK 'bucket list' consists of a visit to Duxford, Old Warden, Beamish Museum, and the Imperial War Museum. Oh, and maybe pop in to visit the Queen. It'll probably never happen, but it's nice to dream.
