A record breaking good deed!

Post by Airspeed »

Hi All,
This is to let you know that our PeteP's other half has just broken the record for oldest woman to swim right round the Isle of Jersey - 41 miles! :excited:
This was a fund-raiser by Chris, and the swim was completed about half an hour under her expected time :welldone:
Departure was close to 6am local time and it was all over about 11:30pm yesterday.
Couple of tracking screen shots which I took during the event:

"Lionheart" was the monitoring vessel.

Please post comments here, for Pete to share with his family, thanks ;)

Absolutely Brilliant Christine. :welldone: :welldone: That is a feat and record that hopefully will stay yours for a very long time and all for such a good cause as well. I take my hat off to you. :bandit:

Thank you all for your very kind comments - I'll show them to Chris when she gets back tomorrow. I think she'll be very surprised to find herself on a flight sim site!

She was interviewed earlier by the local Jersey ITV station and there are some short clips here: https://www.itv.com/news/channel/2022-0 ... -in-jersey
Not a single mention of her hard-working husband, I notice but was it ever thus. :hide:
