Came across this nice video and shows that it was posted 4th August. Just over half way through sees Brian Withers giving a talk of his time on the Shackleton. Good to see him again as last time we spoke it must be around 15 years ago when I last went to Newark Air Museum.
Remember when went to Coventry in 2006, Dave and I as well as Derek and some more of CBFS were watching the Shackleton start up and number 3 took some time and effort to start with fuel flowing out from the engine due to too much priming!!!!
Must try and go again.

Re: Shackleton Video Coventry and Newark Museums
I really enjoyed that, Nigel.
I like the mechanical stuff, and as they mentioned, Bowden cables and chain drives were widely used in this aircraft.
The narrators were as charming as the aircraft.
Thanks for the link

Really enjoyable Nigel. I used to visit Newark occasionally when I lived down south.
I was also at Covenrty in 2006 where I met Ben, Derek and Dave Booker and joined CBFS as a result. Whilst there I had a ride in the Rapide and Dove( Sea Devon) after which I asked the pilot, John Corley I think, if I could take a few pics in the flight deck as I had thought there was a sim available online for it when the person behind me said yes, it was his model. It was DelP.
Wonder how he is these days? EricT
