Re: R1155 receiver
The two drunks xml is Ted Cooks work , he allowed me to use hence the credit. The problem I've got is the loss of a hard drive that had all my design work was on it, so although I have some back ups they are not complete!

Re: R1155 receiver
I think to make the handwheel & loop antenna to work I would have to animate it in gmax & create the .xml for it. This is where I cannot for the Q6 as I have lost the Q6 gmax files, but I do have the Proctor p4 gmax.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi Keith.
The Procter two drunken men visual gauge needle XML formula did not work on my gauge as it was , but part of that formula did fix an issue i was having on mine ,it now appears to work more or less the way it should but not fully as the real gauge does ,but better than it was , i also appear to have the high/low needle speed working on the two drunken men needles , now i need to try and get the r1155 balance/amplitude knobs controlling the adjustment of the two drunken men visual gauge needles , if at all possible .
Boy have i picked a headache of a gauge as a project to do .
regards Alan.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi.
Update on progress .
1/ Two drunken men type 1 visual gauge , now has the R1155 balance and amplitude knob adjustment working
2/ modified the needle speed formular
3/ WIP on trying to get these to work with the R1155 master switch selections
some switchs are still only dummies at moment and no switch or knob sounds as yet in XML i have downlooaded but not yet read the documents on how to us the FSUIPC XML sounds.
Also while working on the item 3/ above i managed to corrupt the R1155 XML file , that caused me to have a small panic attack , thankfully it took me about 30 mins to find and fix the issue , i MUST remember to back up more frequently in future , just in case this happens again , as this XML has over a thousand lines of code at this time.
regards Alan.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi.
While trying to find info on what i might be doing wrong with the master switch control , over meter balance and amplitude controls for the two drunken men type 1 visual gauge , i found info over how to get my frequency click spots control reduced from 20 to just 4 which was my original plan but could not get them working , now they are , so i have managed to simplyfy the freq clickspots , would be nice if i could stop the radio frequencies looping not as yet found a solution to that , if its at all possible to do that is .
switches that as yet dont do anything are .
1/ filter in/out switch
2/ Het switch on/off
3/ high/low speed switch
4/ aural sense L/off/R switch
regards Alan.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi.
Update:-
Sounds added to switchs & Knobs , this is temp using flight replicas B24 switch sounds will need reworking using DSDXML sounds once i have read and installed his FSX sounds , will also need to download and check differencies between the FSX , and P3D DSDXML sounds incase i need two xml files or if its just a case of the install instructions need to be differnt , that will no doubt be near the end of project during documentation and usage instructions , but something i need to remember .
WIP
1/. If PWR or avionics OFF the fine/course tuning Knobs and frequency needle should still move as they are mechanically driven on real radio so trying to include this but you will not be able to tune frequencies till batt and avionics are on.
2/. trying to modify ADF high/low frequency ranges with start range of 100/999 low 1000/1799 high by freq selector switch.
3/. master switch control , over meter balance and amplitude controls for the two drunken men type 1 visual gauge giving issues at moment
update 1 item 3/. above now works as it should in master switch balance mode only fixed on tuesday 19 nov 24
update 2 item 2/. above done 22 nov 24
update 3 item 1/. above after trying unsuccessfully to get this to work , i have decided to drop this mod for now as it looks like a complete rewrite of the freq and control knob sections of the XML with no garentee of success , so i need to have a rethink on this no power mod in the future.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi.
Yesterday i managed to get the two drunken men type 1 visual ADF nav gauge defaulting to fail position when Master switch is not in Balance or visual position , i was going to look at the other WIP items but could not due Major PC issues , it keeps locking up when you least expect it to , i think some update came in and screwed the PC but yesterday i did several boot ups even in safe mode to try and find the issue , this morning has taken a couple of boot ups and trying to narrow down the cause , at this time my saitek switch panel is unpluged as not all switches working ,so need to look at that , dont think thats the cause of PC lockups though .
So at this time all work on my R1155 is at a standstill till i can be confident the PC is working correctly , it may have to go the the shop i got it from if i cannot fix it , but 4 inches of snow rules that out at present . dont fancy slipping with arms full of PC between car and shop.
regards Alan.

Re: R1155 receiver
Hi
My PC still suffering from frequent lockups and reboot issues , at moment its working , a memory check says no issues , no component issues and no virus issues , i think but as yet cannot confirm , that one of my programs is trying to contact the vender for updates , and website may have changed there for causing a lockup of PC more tests needed to pinpoint issues may even have to put it in a PC repair shop if i cannot fix it .
I know the LG hub keeps saying updates available but last time i accepted an update it royally screwed my PC , and i had to delete the hub and reinstall the original , and i know this website has changed but its never caused a PC lockup before.
regards Alan.

Re: R1155 receiver
Is the LG hub for your monitor Alan? If so you can likely uninstall it. I have an LG, the monitor is great, but the software is rubbish. Are you on Windows 11?
