Mick (woody901), PeteP and Ben (TSR2) were the three who spotted the Boeing XP-9.
Well done you, and thanks for playing.

30-12-24 Yes, it's another jigsaw, but not so obscure this time.
I expect lots more correct answers :)

I picked the Blenheim Mk IF (L6739) because I'm reading a couple of crew members' recollections of night fighter operations.
Might post something in the books to read topic.

TBH, it was a Canadian Bolingbroke, refurbished as a Mk IF.
Who got it? I'll tell you: Eric (Tomliner), PeteP, Mick (woody901), Brian (Bridon Bear), Keith (Dev One), Brian Franklin, Ben (TSR2), Simon (simondix) and AllanL.

Allan gave me a heap of extra information, and Pete identified the actual aircraft, both scoring a bonus star.

Thanks for your interest ;)

06-01-24 a lot more modern.
Bonus points if you tell me what the under wing weapons are called.

Step up for your badge if you nominated the F-15 Eagle. If you said F-15E, you can sew it on with gold thread
OK, that means Mick (woody901), Brian (Bridon Bear), Joe (blanston12), Simon (simondix) and Ben (TSR2) score diamonds.

Keith (Dev One) gets a gold badge after a change of mind.

Mick and Joe get a bonus star for naming the AIM-7 Sparrow missiles.

There are some AGMs, those with stubby round noses, but not any perfect nominations for them. Those that were named did not match photos which I found, and the book did not specify them.

You blokes know everything :agree:
The Blackburn B-20 retractable hull seaplane didn't fox you at all.
Keith (Dev One), Ben (TSR2), Joe (blanston12), AllanL, Pete (Motormouse) and PeteP all nailed it.

And AllanL gave me an extensive background to pick up another bonus star:

Thanks for making it worthwhile ;)

THIRD ATTEMPT, I KEEP GETTING CHUCKED OFF AGAIN....
2 or 3 different photos of one type of aircraft, taken from different angles, Ben.
