I guess I could drop these guys a line but the work this other chap has done impressed me due to the attention to detail he's employed in previous work. The only prob is that there's nothing definite been agreed.

I'm not certain you want to get into this FDE with me as you may regret it. I am fully loaded regarding this and the questions will flow.
However, if you're ok with this then I'd be more than happy for assistance.
Most of the dynamics are fine and the aircraft flies comfortably but aerodynamics is such a huge subject and terminology varies a bit.
I've been using an extremely old book on aerodynamics to fathom out some aspects and reference certain harder to find items.
It's never going to be spot on and too much messing around can mess things up

I'd rather do things via private email please as my net connection is sooo slow

Let me know what info you might need from Woodley and I'll see what I can dig up as I'm a member of the museum

It's worth noting though that they have little or no reference material on any Miles aircraft so don't get your hopes up. When the company went under.. all documentation passed to the Miles family (the daughter being the current custodian) and all that remains at the museum is a few photographs and odd's and sod's donated by ex-employees.

Hi Dave,
funnily enough The Museum of Berkshire Aviation Trust was one of my first ports of call and they have been extremely helpful. Plenty of technical info and diagrams etc. There's a couple of photographs of G-ALUB in BEA livery on the wall which has the Marathon Tyre and wheel sitting in front of it. Well I've got a photograph of these photographs which isn't very clear from a livery painting point of view.
I was going to ask my contact (Jean Fostekew) at the museum if she'd be kind enough to send me a print but felt a bit awkward as I felt I'd already bugged them enough.
Besides my lack of painting skills this picture would probably make all the difference to the accuracy of the paint.
As stated previously, it's highly unlikely that anyone would have a picture of this, so a little artistic licence may be required but I certainly thank you for you're offer
