Airboatr..
The Chippie
isn't an avatar matey, it's a rank and coincides with how many posts you've made (which has roughly already been pointed out)
An avatar you can add yourself by uploading whatever shot you choose then reflecting this in your personal profile. Around 120x120 pixels is about the max we like to see here so please, nothing bigger
As an example, my avatar is 107x80 pixels.

Trooping the colour is presenting the "colours" to the Queen. The "colour" is the regiments flag.
"Sir!!! Yellow nosed b******s, twelve o'clock high!!!"
"Break formation, break!!!"

Well, don't let this go to your heads .................
"Avatar is a Sanskrit word that means the incarnation of a god on earth, and this usage of the term came from the gaming and 3D chat worlds."

I'm sure it means presenting it to everyone and marching about with it so that everyone can see it, particularly the Queen.
