Wow, that looks the Doggie's, only thing that I can see is that they havent switched the shadows off on the trees, which is the done thing in scenery. Otherwise you get shadows of the actual tree polygons (a pair of rectangles) which looks daft and just lowers the FPS.Charlie Bravo wrote:Cheers matey, I'd like to see a screenshot of a Fk50 or 146 parked on stand so I can see if the markings are correct.Jetset wrote:There are some here matey, just scroll down.

OSS made a total hash of theirs and when the aircraft are parked, no part of it should overhang another stand or the taxiway. It's very tight but as I say they got it all wrong.
In fact, looking at the Visual Flight shots, I'd say they are also incorrect.

Having scanned through the shots from the above link, the Visual Flight LCY does look better than the version by OSS.
However there are things that I notice that are incorrect. As they have modelled a lot of the surrounding area with custom made buildings and objects, I don't see why these errors have been made.
The 28 PAPIS are on the wrong side. (another shot shows them on the correct side!!??)
The fire training rig is missing.
Stand markings don't look right.
Approach lights aren't correct.
Tower is incorrect (too tall).
The road markings end too early.

Thanks mate.
Wouldn't mind a Fk50 or 146 on any stand from 1-10. Shot from above, shot looking down the taxiway edge line towards the east and maybe a shot of stand 11 (empty).
Sorry to be picky but having worked there, I want it to be correct if I'm going to buy the product.

Thats just a little....sad, I mean really, being bothered about road markings?
I mean, how about taking 5 seconds to remember that it is just a computer game?
For the same reasons I can't do proper snap rolls or hammerheads, its a simulation, not everything will be totally spot on!

Having worked there, it's just something I noticed. I know it's a game thanks and if you've got nothing better to do than flame me for saying it, then get out of the thread !Reheat wrote:CB,Charlie Bravo wrote: The road markings end too early.

People here like the classic brit aircraft to be spot on and I'd like to see an accurate LCY made for FS. It's just something I picked up on thats all. I won't lose sleep over it !
Maybe the forums at Avsim would be more suitable for you.
