Beirut was one of the most exciting and happening cities in the world before they blew it all up. All the big money and entrepreneurs moved to Dubai when the Syrians moved in - such a waste because Beirut has a beautiful climate and mediterranean setting.
So, Dan, your lovely shots have given me the impetus to fly down there again in search of a kidney that I think I lost  . Sadly, I can't run your gorgeous scenery on my machine so I have to fill my screenshots with an aeroplane

Ian don't even think about going Beirut Bahrain..it is only a 1:50 hours flight but gosh it is boring! Even more hideous than doing a transatlantic....that small trip has taken me 3 (three) days to complete...just because I don't want to fly accelerated (I think it's kinda cheating)..thank God for that ability to leave the plane hanging in the air overnight!
So if you are going to Bahrain, take it another way than directly...!
