So after a long (actually short) flight over the Saudi desert we finally arrive at Bahrain (OBBI)
Just approaching, OBBI is right under the fuselage between the nose and the front of the wing, on that small island there
Approaching a little more, now turning for finals...
Okay everything out, ready to land...
And we have touch down...(somebody has obviously offset the ILS-beam by a few feet....(!)
So this is where I'm gonna stay the night...any fine room mates..?
Well what'll you know...Big brother is watching over us with a Globemaster, courtesy of the Tantris Mil AI....(A VC10 is making go-a-rounds in the background while I'm getting to bed for today)

AI by PAI and partly Tantris

Mmmm. It was worth the trip across the desert to get those atmospheric shots. I can feel the heat and taste the sand. Definitely time for a cold Carlsberg! Make your way to the Gulf Hotel where all the airline crews stay (well, in them days) and there is a 24 hour crew bar with a pool table and a coffee shop that serves a sunshine breakfast 24/7. If you're looking for a room mate this is the best place to start looking! ()
