Thanks for your appreciation, Guys. Thank goodness for digital - I can't seem to go very wrong with it, whereas my 35mm shots always seemed to come out grainy, and not at all sharp. Never knew what I was doing wrong, so I never used to do much photography.

I assume you mean XM496. No is the answer, unfortunately. :roll: I think Man-power and time are against them. Shame, I go every year hoping to catch the sight and, in particular, sound of a running Brit. Maybe next year......

Yes, amazing take-off climb! About the closest aspect you can get to seeing XH558.....at the moment..... :think:

I was indeed Chris - seems a shame - its such a wonderful rushing sound compared with the Dart and the Tyne and all thouse modern turboprops.

Just call me an old romantic ;)
