The Snag is.... FIXED I Hope!
We have been having more problems today after an auto update... This time an SW Soft update. The forum runs on a back end system called Pleask which has an auto update thing. Since the update the disks filled up and thats why everything ground to a halt today... the only way to get back was the good old restore, but the disk is still filling up. To see if its an email problem I have shut down the SMTP and POP mail server which send out message alerts etc until I get to the bottom of the problem.
Appologies for the inconvienience guys, but I'll plod away here to get it fixed. Needless to say all posts from the last 24hrs have gone... sorry guys.

Ben.
Hi Ben,
Many thanks for bringing the forum back on line.
I sincerely hope that I was not instrumental in cocking things up.
Had started off the system check from Microsoft that Peter Mc posted and then got a call to the hospital to see my consultant. He had got a spare slot due to cancellation. I left my box doing its thing whilst I was away.
If caused the system to bugger up, I will put my hat and coat on and disappear into the sunset, never to be seen or heard from again.

Well done Ben, I was on-line when it went down and began to think of two things, the first was it something I had done or was it a conspiracy from Microsoft after all the grief they were given from members of this Forum........???
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

Ben
Thanks for explaining the in's and out's
Bit of a nuisance.....but that's all
nothing serious, it can wait
I for one am just grateful for the existance of CBFS and something this popular shows up like a sore thumb when it fails.
I am sure the guys here a very understanding and if and when it dissappears we know it's for good reason.
All I can say is thanks for your efforts and support on this.
Cheers
Garry
