The spammers falsify the "sent from" address.

So it looks like the spam comes from you.

Even worse when the non-deliverable stuff comes back to you with "mailer-daemon failed to deliver" or something similar.

I've always used "Mailwasher" to sort my mail. It allows me to view my mail, while it's still at the server.
I just delete or bounce what I don't wan't. :wink:
