F8F Bearcat

Post by mgchristy »

Another offering from the same team who brought us the F4U-7 Corsair and recent MiG-15....

On Avsim:

bearcat.zip

I'm downloading it as we speak. Based on the quality of their previous work, I'm sure it'll be amazing.

Isn't the Fighter Collection marked up as 201? If so, there's already a repaint been done, also at Avsim; search on 'bearcat', you'll get the main download and all the repaints Kimber mentioned.

Wow!

I cant belive the performance of it. I downloaded it, sat it on the runway, applied throttle and before I even thought of rotating it was airborne!

This is an absolute beaut to fly...

oh, I remember a Bearcat from Stephen Gray's Fighter Collection (it was the first plane he bought from USA in the early 80) and was not painted in that way. It was light blue with a white 100 on the fuselage and a "red rippers " emblema on the cowling. I don't know if the F8 still in the collection is a new one or the same old one with new colours. I think he sold the old one but I am not really  sure
