How long have you been 'down South' now? Surely you must be due a reprieve soon - not the best time of year down there now is it?

I dunno. With the world as it is at the mo, the South Atlantic could be a nice place to be...

I heard that there were murmurings coming fro mteh Argies the other week that they might have another tilt at the Falklands, given how stretched we are at the moment. I dont know if the Argies are really (militarily) in any position to attempt this, but I'd be worried if they did. Would President Tony divert troops from the Iraq, Afghanistan and other places to defend the Falklands or would he not want to upset his mate Dubya? Would we even be as good now as we were in '82? We dont have the shar any more, only the GR9 with no radar and two sidewinders which for all its improved radius of action and MTOW, wouldnt be able to do a better job than the FRS.1 IMHO :worried:
