Hi all,
In the flying tips it says to climb at 290knts?!? I wish!! 10 degrees nose up attitude.
I am climbing 190kias at best at the moment out of Frankfurt??
Am I missing something?

I think the answer to your last question is very probably YES
How are you attempting to do the climb?? Are you flying manually or letting some other software (FSNav for example) fly it for you?? Once above FL100, you should have no difficulty attaining and keeping 290kias then stop at your mach limiting number If your mach limiting number is reached before your desired cruise alt, fly at that number SWEET altitudes for the 10 are (I believe) around FL290 to FL330 where she's good on gas and you get all the benefits of a high groundspeed. She will of course go much higher

Well there's the initial climb & then there's the climb.
Initial climb out from the airport is with 20 deg flap at V2+20, so usually between 160 - 180 kt.
Once flaps are up, you lower the nose to accelerate to your climb speed, which is the 290.
290 isn't compulsory. If you need a higher climb rate you'd climb at a slower airspeed.
