Real Air Spit.........best payware in Avsim award???

Post by Trev Clark »

BEST VINTAGE AIRCRAFT; WWII Spitfire by RealAir Simulations

Can anybody tell me (I am currently 'resting' from Avsim until I get the internet), why they should vote the superb Spit 24 as the years best vintage payware. It came out at least 18 months ago. Perhaps RealAir have renewed their advert subscription

Interesting one, although no more crazy as voting the IFly 744 as better than either DM's 1-11 or RP's HS748.

I am eagerly awaiting UbiSoft's "Storm of War" - even more so when looking at the VC from their Spitfire offering......

Looks stunning I must say....I see that on Play.com site that the release date is likely to be February 2007...and their price is.....£17:99 (rrp around £35)

If that is correct then it seems to be extremely good value compared to some of the payware single aircraft prices out there.

I too will be watching out for this one...thanks for the Heads Up 'Blister'

Regards.

I've been watching this one for what seems years now. I couldn't get on with BOB or BOBII for lots of reasons and I did think this one had dropped off the radar. It looks absolutely fantastic!

By the way - did anyone ever hear of a sim called Target For Tonight? Their website was nightbomber.com (don't bother - it's gone). They were a group full of great intentions to develop a highly detailed sim of the nightbombing campaign. As far as I could see they got as far as building quite a nice looking Lancaster and then stopped ...

Will this be a stand alone, or will you still need a copy of IL2? If it is a new game engine, it must be stand alone.....surely :worried:

It will be standalone - there are more technical details on the UbiSoft website (http://www.ubisoft.com) - somewhere.
