Final Approach Problem
Ladies and Gents Does anyone have a problem whereby during the last few hundred feet on very late finals when having disconnected the A/P the aircraft will drift to the right.Seems to happen with either no wind or even with the wind from the right. It to be the same with either default or add on aircraft, even such superb examples as Rick's 748 or Dave's 1-11(what a cracking update).I suppose at least it keeps you on your toes in those last vital seconds.ATB EricT

It sometimes happens with me and I have always put it down to this
I'm sitting on the left side and tend to put the view too much in the middle of my view which is in fact turning the aeroplane slightly to the right.
I sometimes do that when taxiing as well for the same reason
I don't know if this is you problem but I have experienced similar for the reason above

I had a similar problem a while back. I seem to remember that in the advanced weather settings the wind direction was showing a couple of degrees off the nose. Even with no wind specified in the simple settings it still pushed the a/c a bit off centre. Worth a check, anyway.

I remember having this problem when I was first playing with Flight
Simulator and somebody told me the fix - but I'm blowed if I can
remember the details. It is something to do with certain keyboard
commands affecting what you would normally do with the joystick. I'm
pretty sure it was the numbers keypad doing it - are you using that to
look out of the windows at all? Possibly a few such taps with NumLock
on when it should be off (or vv) is doing it.
I think I fixed it by either disabling the offending keyboard presses
or possibly by creating a new keypress to centre the rudder to use when
this happened.
It isn't a problem to me now as I have a little button on top of the joystick
for looking around - hence the reason I have forgotten all this.

Ditto here. I regularly use DM's 1-11 and when you disconnect the A/P say, 500-1000' agl to land manually, I am never quite sure if the yaw damper has disconnected simultaneously as well? As previously discussed, it is best to take off and land with the yd disabled and, just wondering if this having an effect? I agree with the viewpoint issue as well.
Final Approach problem
Many thanks for the replies so far,I will try the number lock idea and check the yaw damper etc.I use the CH Products yoke and pedals so I also use the hat key to move views.Best Wishes EricT
