No, if you want bad news, you need to read this thread!
As soon as I read the first post in the thread, I immediately thought "that will give the Japanese a justification for hunting them again! :sad:

After all, how many whales do you have to catch? But if they were not allowed to sell the "scientific investigation" catches, I wonder if there would still be so much "scientific" interest.

And Leif, off the east coast of the US is good as well - honoured to have shared the space with her (had a calf as well).

WOW!!!

Stunning shots, Ian.
After I'd started this post, I thought that perhaps I shouldn't have done.
By the replies, it seems that I'm not alone in appreciating our highly inteligent aquatic cousins.
I hope some day, that my great great grandchildren will be taking photos like those of Ian's.
