Super shots everyone!

Did anyone else think the F15 broke a little too early on the final pass on the Sunday?

Yes Tom.. I think it would be fair to say that

Nice to see it displaying with the 3 WWII fighters. He was nice and tight throughout  Slightly out of place at 'Legends' mind you

Anyone know what the Fighter Collection did with the Tigercat?? Just didn't look right not seeing it :dunno:

Now what you mean Dave. This one must have thought he'd walked into an aviation-themed cinema.

No idea if he found his way out, but after about half an hour, he stopped apperaing. Maybe he was up in the back row with some popcorn and a Kia-Ora.

By the way, the Fighter Collection's Tigercat has now gone back to the USA and new owners. Her regular duo with the Bearcat was always an elegant thing to watch, and she'll be sorely missed.

I think our bugs are related as that one looks very familiar  I'd not realised Duxford was awash with thunder flys and made the mistake of changing lenses when I did the flightline walk. My bug must have hopped in when I put the body on the deck!! It didn't appear in any of my shots but continued to make appearances in the viewfinder throughout the day :crying:

First thing I did when I got home was get the hoover out.. hoover the inside of my camera bag.. then fit my tiny pc attachments and give the body a good going over.. inside and out. With luck, it'll be somewhere inside my Dyson now!!

OK Pop-Pickers  I talked myself into posting a swift dozen shots for your viewing pleasure (at least that's the intention!) and have tried to keep them as different as poss while selecting the least dull (light wise). I've cropped the excess off some to try and give you more to see than the odd little black dot in the distance

One of the many Spits..
Image

The US Heritage Flight..
Image

one more a bit closer..
Image

The headbanging contra-prop Spit..
Image

Probably the worst airshow aircraft to photograph but a treat to see..
Image

Dirty, smokey.. and I love it..
Image

BBMF Lanc..
Image

You can see the dials on the original shot!! The lovely little Active..
Image

The rather jolly little Gull..
Image

No 'Legends' is complete without Sally B..
Image

This Gladiator is immaculate, both in appearance and how it's flown..
Image

This little Chippy strayed over the viewing line too.. and not the only one!
Image

There you go

Wow, those shots almost make me want to come back to the UK (one Mew Gull doesn't make a summer), great stuff! Did that FW 190 display?

Hello mate

Sadly not and a disappointment for me  It was there as a fund-raiser I think but for what cause, I can't remember :dunno:

We didn't have the same degree of light today and despite me returning to Berkshire with my annual 'one day suntan'.. the majority of my shots are, as expected, too dark so I'm not posting any this year. Nice selection there
