That Westminster was a beast, shame it was never taken further. I also love the Belvadere too, I worked with some ex-Belvadere types in the RAF (we have a member who was a FE crewman, much to his horror) on them, nothing good said generally though, shame. One of THE great aircraft missing in MSFS, to my knowledge it is about the only post war RAF operational type NEVER to have modelled

Well, they did try - apparently, they covered it with Terylene!

As usual - cutting edge design and technology versus NO funding and a Labour Goverment
30 years ahead of the Blackhawk - it makes you want to cry

I remember Paul Gausden telling me that the Belvadere wasn't well liked in the RAF. Too many seemed to fall out of the sky  Not sure if this was due to a lack of funding but that would certainly fit the bill. An interesting project for someone (

) and surely a wealth of info out there. I'll even volunteer to head down to Kemble and blag my way into theirs should a suitable offer be made

Belvedere: I think that the locals used to call that aircraft 'the flying longhouse' during the Indonesian 'confrontation.'

It's 'A' road all the way and most suitable for motorcycle use ;-) After I threw a tenner in the Brit's collection box last time I was there, I think it's only fair I get a go in a Belvedere too (though I'm 99.9% certain no one will remember either me or my tenner)
