Thank you Mr Maltby sir (cue forelock tugging), yet another masterpiece :yipeee:

I have followed Le If's suggestion and also deposited groats, something I should have done a long time ago! :$

I guess, now that it is out in public on AVSIM, the good site is under pressure? ;-)

Luckily I was one of the first one to grab it ;-)

As they say there's always one. Looks like it is me.

Loaded the new Comet 4 in FS9 and runs fine with the aircraft on the runway, and then I get unexpected error and FS9 closes.

Any thoughts please?

Hell, that was quick. I only posted a news item to them about 10 minutes ago. :o
I've never done it before & thought it would come up tomorrow afternoon. I'd have prefered tomorrow afternoon. :worried:
The website should hold up to any amount of traffic these days - all downloads are very kindly hosted by simviation, so that bit should be indestructible anyway.

And then in typical style, someone has a problem the moment it goes global!
FS9 crash could be almost anything.
Usual favourite will be the sounds & an Audigy 2ZS sound card. Have you had any of the other DM models going on that PC?
Could just be unlucky & it may be solved by a reboot.
It's not something that cropped up in testing.

Thanks chaps.
And thanks very much for the groats - too kind.

David. It flies and handles beautifully and it looks even better :) .

Wonderful VC. Smooth and atmospheric. I could almost smell that leather.

Obviously a labour of love.

Thank you.

Great update, but :'( & its my own fault, several months ago I started a repaint of RAE Comet 4 using the 4C textures.

I'd got it done when the sages here put me right.

I shoved the textures in the (old) Comet 4 with no problems. Thing is XV814 won't load at all in the new model.

Its not a problem, (in that I never released the repaint & dozens of people suffer cos of my stuff up), just me thank goodness, but I think I shall have to re-do the project using comet 4 textures from the off.

Yes it really is 10 years since 814 was dispatched to the melting pot at Boscombe Down

Apart from that, I love the VC & the updated panels, welldone and thank you.

What a fantastic Bank Holiday surprise!

I've just been out for a spin around the old Liverpool airport and it's a wonderful aircraft to fly...

I guess I'll always love the 1-11 the best but the new Comet has so many great features that make it a joy to fly (and learn!) that I can see I'll be spending quite some time in this new VC :welldone:

Great work David as always, thank you for sharing it with us CHEERS
