HI Peter,

Yes, I have GBV2 installed, and have downloaded the updates thanks :) :yipeee:

Once I've got those in i'm happy to give the tour a test for you :cpu: - the only thing I do not have are the F 16s -

I've had a little look through the update files and they won't take long to install, although I note that some AFCAds need disabled - which is not a problem but I am pushed for time today, so it may be a day or two before I get it installed fully. By all means send over the tour :)

EDIT: Also of note: In the downloads of McField, I had the F16 folder, which contains the arm and disarm batch files, air file, cfg and clean cfg file, but no textures. Have I missed them from elsewhere?

Woohoo!

Bit the bullet - that's the updates in. Stonking!!! Now I need to find out when all the action happens ;-) Just a Grumman and couple of Cessnas moving around just now.

No, you didn't miss it...You have to copy a texture folder called "texture.USAF_MO_389_Lets_Roll" from here:-

X:\..........................\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\AI Lockheed Martin F-16C

to here:-

X:\..........................\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\AI Lockheed Martin F-16C Drag Chute

But you won't have those folders unless you have downloaded and installed the F16s...those files you do have should have overwritten some files in the second location...make a copy of the folder that you do have and put it in a safe place. Now download and install the F16s. Then copy those files from your saved folder into that second location and allow overwrites. And now finally, as since you installed the F16s you DO now have that first location...Copy and paste that texture folder complete from the first location to the second location (if you don't do that you will still have F16s at McLeland Field but they will be white!).

This is a quote from the aaaF-16 README.txt file in your McLeland Field Kit:-

Follow the instructions here to install the F-16 fighter traffic. The models are by Henry Tomkiewicz and the repaint by Graham King.

The F16 must be downloaded and installed by you...Go to AVSIM and search for this title:-

"ai_lockheed_martin_f-16.zip"...copy and paste that title (without the quote " marks) into the AVSIM search window.

If you have my Alaska Cinematic Traffic package installed then you already have these F-16s in your FS9/Aircraft folder.

When you have Henry Tom's F16 package installed you you will see four versions with folders named as follows:-

AI Lockheed Martin F-16C
AI Lockheed Martin F-16C Drag Chute
AI Lockheed Martin F-16D
AI Lockheed Martin F-16D Drag Chute

I just checked and they are still there :)

Thanks Peter.

There is no readme within the 'F-16 Fighters' folder (which I did think odd) - I may have inadverdently deleted it... :dunno:

Tony...That one has got me going a bit!...I don't think I have given you the RTW Tour package and I'm under the impression that you are installing the full McLeland Field...So I'm assuming that the Comet is your user aircraft and not traffic...If it was the Tour traffic Comet then it would park on stand 6 and not stand 2 where you are...Can you confirm that you are not testing the RTW Tour package?

Jim,

If you goto your McLeland Field Kit and open folder "9...The F-16 Fighters", it is the top file in the list and called aaaF-16 README.txt...If you have deleted it then re-installing the "Kit" will re-instate it. I suggest that you don't delete anything in the Kit till you have built it all. Then you can delete the whole kit...but I suggest that you keep the original downloaded .zip files for a while :)

I've just checked and the file is in "McLelandFieldKitE", so if you still have that then open it in WinZip and scroll down to the sixth file up from the bottom...aaaF-16 README.txt...double click it to read its full text.

No idea how or why, but I did somehow move or delete the readme. A quick look in the original folder and it's there. :$
