Charlie Bravo is more up to speed on these things than me, but it will depend on which motherboard you have as to what CPU's it will take. Intels are the cream of the crop these days, but usually v expensive. A good AMD chip which is multi core and not a semperon or duron. The Athlons are good, but I don't know the current range well, but definately something above 2GHz on the clock. If you can post details of your motherboard we can do some research. Also, if you are planing an upgrade, an idea of budget would be helpful as there is no point recomending something that you wont buy xwink

Looks like this is what you have:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?M ... grade-1689

And from the CPU Support List tab on the left, looks like you have upgrade possibilities.

But I'm an Intel man too, so someone who knows more about AMD chips can perhaps suggest the way to go.

[Edit]

Perhaps this thread should move again! To Virtual Spanner.

Hey sorry its been a few hours, right from the looks of the basic system spec i would say it might be able to run FS with the F-14 but i would say it wont be great. I use a AMD 3800+ 64bit, Gigabyte Nforce 4 MoBo, 8800GTS, Sound card and two 250G Hard drives and my FS runs ok. I would surgest checking out what other high end aircraft runs like on your system, such as freeware stuff, if you really want the F-14 you could still purchase the Lite version and if all runs fine upgrade to the full version. Hope this clears up a few things a little better.
