All governments are wary of monopolies which is what Microsoft has become. They are only happy if they
control the monopoly. It happened in the oil industry a century ago. Court cases and fines and what have you.
Standard Oil paid the fines and I'm sure Microsoft will happily do the same.
The only outcome will be us the taxpayer paying for it and the lawyers (and Microsoft) making a fair living.
