The Freighter was Dan Air's first new machine
They did use them for pax flight as did other airlines but they were never Wayfarers
The Wayfarers (Mk II and MK.XI....Dan Air's were Mk.31E) had a fixed nose a crew door at the front starboard with baggege on the port though the lower hatch and a different window arrangement.
The 31E (convertable) could be readily adapted to carry pure pax or a mix as could the Superfreighter, but the were not Wayfarers as such.

I have vague recollections that Dan Air's brief affair with the 262 came to an end when it had a very hairy moment at Liverpool in a crosswind when a wingtip touched the runway. I think the result may have been a groundloop, and the a/c was taken off the line soon afterwards

Just entered the holding stack over on "The Pond"
Thanks to Derek for letting me use his RN textures as a template, saved a lot of time and hassle.
Cheers,
Mark

Coming on well Mark
A couple of little things
The silver grey should be more silver (darker)
Also the DAN Air logo on the starboard is a port logo
The flag should fly back ;-)

I ve got the Dan Dove ready to publish - not sure, have you made the logo changes.
In light of the chat about the Noddy - yes the bopy that was done for me is G-AYFR - wwe had a couple of 1-11 crew members that flew in on
the west country route, Derek Price, and Jack Pollard (MOF) I beleive. And neither had anything good to say about the critter, besides as is
noted it was a bugger in a crosswind, it also hadf some serious icing problems
I do believe you all may see a Dan Air Mk31 in the future

Hi Leif,
Sorry, I uploaded the one with the logo the wrong way round (despite me having changed it during editing, I must have forgot to reload the image back into DXTbmp) so I've uploaded the file again with the corrected logo, and taken the chance to apply a slightly darker grey although the photographs appear to vary depending on whether you look at the colour or black and white!
My apologies for messing you about, the new file is DonDove1.zip, the original DonDove.zip can be discarded. I've put in a small txt file in DonDove1 to explain.
That'll teach me to press "reload after edit" in DXTbmp, I'm more used to TGAtools for Train Sim which automatically reloads when you close the edit program.

Hi Mark
The grey is not grey but silver which will is why it can vary on photos due to the shine
Silver can look almost white in black and white photos but it's the colour ones you need to go off of.
