That version of the model has been on the Bluegrass website since January '07, and IIRC Bill vons knocked out the Union Airlines feature during the preceding December - which is why this is the only copy with the Union textures as graciously modelled by Tony above. As for the twitchy FDs I can only suggest that comments about the original beastie intimated that it was not one of Sir Geoffrey's finest, even when the tail stayed stuck on. :roll:
So maybe they are not far off. I suspect the design was grounded at one time by the Oz authorities.
I think the last model from Lee that I saw was the Handley Page W.8 collaboration with Jens. I know he was working on some other classic Brits, but I think one of the hurricanes diverted his attention for a while, might have been the one that Dubya forgot about.
