It's not recommended that you work on them yourself, Rick! Some parts are very delicate and not suitable for home maintenance unless you have the correct tool. I'm a great believer in having mine properly serviced at regular intervals by trained professionals.

Yeh.. I'd tend to agree. I bought these two and it was money totally wasted..

Actually, I think probably to be accurate it is Trade Mark infringements, but there is a half serious point here - you would not believe it but quite a number of organisations which have Mini in their name have received threatening letters from BMW , and the XKE data site, which tries to record details of all surviving E type Jaguars, had a major run in with Ford over the use of the Jaguar name and more particularly the logo. It seems to me that the motor companies have a death wish - you would think that the free publicity produced by classic car enthusiasts would be welcomed, but apparently this is not the case with the Nerds who run motor manufacturers these days

You're right of course Chris.. ;-)

Unfortunately, we seem to live in a world where litigation is the order of the day :roll: One would hope that many from both the AA and Haynes would find those 'readjustments' amusing.. privately or otherwise but there would be at least one from each camp who'd seek to have them quashed for the reasons you mention. I'll leave them up for a few hours more and hope no representatives from either camp are CBFS members ;-)
