Ah, thanks, Tony. I wondered what they'd done with the GENESIS simulator. That beastie has come a long way since we first ran it up on Commodore Amiga 3000s in 1992. Do these photos bring back any memories? They were taken just a few days before the ACR closed.Techy111 wrote:... NATS still have a presence at West Drayton as the sims are there...

OK, here they are just days before the end. It's probably unnecessary, but I've deliberately obscured the faces as a courtesy to those involved before showing them on a public forum without their permission. Nothing whatsoever to do with them all being ugly South Bankers!Techy111 wrote:I was on LUS and Seaford sectors

It's possible but if you did only LUS and SFD, I'd have had my back to you whenever I was in the Ops Room. ;-)Techy111 wrote:Did we ever meet Pete....?
Goodness me, no. I was a born and bred North Banker. During my various stints in the ACR - in between sitting in a big office and wearing a suit to work - I did CLN, DTY, TMA(N) - before the wall went up to produce TC - NOR and POL/IRS (later renamed LKS/WRL), hence the comment that I'd have my back to you on LUS and SFD.Techy111 wrote::Was you in Flow....?
Funny you should mention that - I won the very first jackpot just after the first machine was installed. It was big news then - by the time I got back to the ACR, a GI had been sent around the room and everyone knew. It was £40 and it bought me a couple of hours flying at White Waltham - how times (and monetary values) have changed.Techy111 wrote:I was proberly up in the bar (not open of course) playing on the £250 jackpot fruit machine..... :worried
