Avast (my very picky AV program) is perfectly happy with the Caravelle installer.

i too have Kaspersky and AVG, and both tend to pick up threats with some EXE installers i create with Install Creator Pro. seems it is being too picky

I scanned it with Spybot and AVG and both are happy with it.
It's a lovely plane :-)

maybe Kaspersky is being picky. but I have run plenty of executables before and this is the first hits. maybe a update to the defintions is catching something that it didn't before. that has happended too to me.
note it is not saying it has a virus but that there is embeded adware. which is about as bad in my book.
maybe it is the .exe creator that they are using. I know there are several out there.
~edit~ I went back and reunzipped several other planes that have install aplications, they did not trigger a warning. I am betting that they used a exe creator, maybe a freeware one that embeds adware. note, I haveing even tryed running these, kasparsky was triggered when I was just UNZIPPING them...
could sombody that has installed both these planes confirm that the exe files were created by the same software?

Superb.
Good manual and checklist make for a fast learning curve.
Very good immersion factor too.
Would have thought that Avsim would refer to it on their front page.

All five repaints (so far) are available on Flightsim (much faster downloads).
All are complete aircraft with different panels depending on the airline/type.
No wonder it took so long to release.

Hi
Downloaded all five Caravelles from Avsim.com but I cannot access to the exe files.
My Kaspersky AV says the exe files (ALL five) are infected with AdWare.Win32.Eshopper.ba.
Someone out there with the same experience?
Of course I can install the Caravelles when I shut down my AV program, but I am not happy with the warning Kaspersky is giving me.
Grtz.

Hi Viper
As mentioned earlier.. I get this same warning off 2 Austrian Airports exe files. Granted.. it was early in the morning when I looked on Kaspersky for some sort of explanation but I found very little. It is NOT as far as I can see, listed as a threat and it looks like Kaspersky is the only AV software that is finding it. I don't know if this is good or bad to be honest  I had a problem with Hotmails Trend Micro AV a couple of years ago in that it flatly refused to accept cab files as it didn't like XML. I got around the issue by using Outlook Express and having done so, I sent the file to Ben who also uses Trend. It was accepted fine! :brick: I sent the same file to 2 other users (with different AV and after warning them first) and it was accepted. The Adware prog isn't the same of course but it does seem odd that only Kaspersky doesn't like it

Although my Trend Micro (PC Cillin) anti-virus did not pick this up, my friend's "Zone Alarm" did. Same thing:"Not-a-virus".

I installed no problem (I use NOD32) and I haven't had hundreds of porn pop-ups yet.
Brilliant exterior - just look at the wing textures :o
The panel is another work of art from the author, I look forward to flying it - it's a great looking machine.
