The best thing about flightsim is that the "press-on-itis" that develops when your flying into the possibility of a storm won't get you killed if you decide not to turn back :)

I've made some quite spectacular (and illegal) landings at McLeland field in IMC. Nearly crashed a few times in aeroplanes without autopilot when I've been "chasing the needles"... :$
Just don't tell my instructor!

Too true Jonesy - amazing the risks you take when you know you won't end up in dire straits.... ;-)

I must admit I'm looking forward to reinstalling PAMA - there's a better chance of landing there than PAYA with only one ILS approach 8)

I'm also acting like a kid with the new PC which does render weather better than the last machine - I took a flight from EGPH and could not believe the grot hanging around the vicinity of the airport with tops of about 1000ft - at least I can ride the ILS there

when pontious was a pilot they used to stick rags in bottles and light em

There is a nice little road on the approach to PAYA's runway 10 that helps a bit when the vis is rubbish. Better that then shoot the dangerous 13 approach at PAMA :D
