I know for a fact that all the long range testing I did for the FS8 T2 was to BG but noting that the T3 was higher density, shorter range it makes sense for the T3 NOT to go there.
Surprising what an innocent question can throw up ;-) The easiest answer may be to revisit the T3's route structure and make sure that any flights above a certain range are either left solely for the T2's or maybe removed where appropriate. We have a reasonably detailed idea of what Peter flew over his years on the T3 so it shouldn't be too difficult to weed out what shouldn't be there. ;-)

Not so much with the Tridents but certainly with the 1-11s' and prop-liners I always prefer to do a bus stop route, i.e. Heathrow to Dyce, stop at Manchester en-route and same on return. Makes it more interesting although probably not as efficient, but like to be different!! :roll:
The 1-11 I believe was used very much in this way and proved quite popular with airlines running a milk round?

The One-Eleven was built to make short frequent stops and was at the time called "The Bust Stop Jet".....
It was used in the US as such but not so much in the UK.

From information Peter has furnished from his T3 log, it may well be that we have 7 T3 flights currently on the system that may not be viable and will have to be reviewed. These are to the following destinations..
Nicosia LCNC - 1745nm
Ben Gurion LLBG - 1937nm
Beirut OLBA - 1878nm
Moscow UUDD - 1373nm
Rodos LGRP - 1513nm
Athens LGAV - 1309nm
Ataturk LTBA - 1356nm
The distances offered are point-to-point and as such do not reflect routing.

I flagged the flights above for review on the strength of Peter saying that it was possible on occasion to need a tech stop from Salonika in the T3 if unfavourable temps were active and this is listed as being 1169nm point to point :o Three of the above fall a few hunderd nm above that distance, one a couple of hundred nm further and the remaining 3 well in excess of this. As per, there are a lot of variables.. many unknown to take into consideration but we can only flog the old girl so hard ;-)

Hi Dave,
The option is always there for a tech stop if we wanted to carry the all pax, just load less fuel knowing you will need to hit the 'emergency' button and stop somewhere for fuel. It will of course generate less revenue than a proper scheduled route stop. I think a proper review is needed and hopefully someone may pop in with a timetable.
