I know I'm digging up a old thread here (found via Google),but can anyone please clarify how to carry out the instructions DanKH posted please?

Go to the aircraft.cfg file that you want to disable the effect in... inder the effects section add the lines...
[effects]
l_wingtipvortice=False
r_wingtipvortice=False
or
vaportrail_l= True/False
vaportrail_r=True/False
Simples
( looking for Meerkat smilie)
