No, that's not it. Does the CAA still have one for calibration purposes ( in my day it was a 748) ?

Dave - sorry no! I don't know how many 1-11s are still flying , but this had a dayglo red underside to its tail and red undersides to about the outer third of each wing ( fairly standard RAF trainer type markings in the past) . I had a look on the UK register last night, but there is no 1-11 left on it , so I think it has to be military . The RAAF had some at one stage, but it's a long way!

Best wishes , Chris

Hi Chris

To the best of my knowledge, there are only a couple of flying examples left over here.. the ETPS aircraft and one at Boscombe (Big Nose). Big Nose is obvious for obvious reasons.. wonder if the ETPS aircraft has had a repaint

Don't think it has Dave, saw it fly over here a few days ago. Here is the not very good shot that I got of her, taken on the 4th of March.

I have this ITVV video. It goes into considerable detail including procedures for calculating a derated take off.Couldn't help thinking that Michael Howard, the ex Tory leader, had a sideline going as a first officer! :) EricT

Thanks Dave and Richard. That is the one - in the pic I can just see the red outer wing surfaces
