I didn't know Airone were flying to London. Maybe it's due to them being part of the same group as Alitalia now.
I know an Airone pilot although this won't be him as he flies 737s. I do know that he now flies both Airone and Alitalia flights.

Not a particularly good photo of that A320 of AirOne (still figuring out optimal exposure and focussing).
During my stay in London, I saw two A320s being used by AirOne (EI-DSY, EI-DSZ). And yes they were on Alitalia flights.
And at least EI-DTC, EI-DST, EI-DTF were also on Alitalia flights.

Thanks for the info Ian,
I'll ask Alberto about it the next time I see him, which probably won't be till September.
Trivial fact: "airone" is Italian for heron which is their call sign and accounts for the tail logo.

Brilliant video. Thanks for posting the link.
I'd have thought it deserved a thread of it's own.

The Station Flight was formed in August 1991 and currently operates with 8 pilots, 1 navigators and 11 engineers.
Great english on the RAF website....
'1 navigators' perhaps they meant
1 WSO's
I think Hampshire Police also operate an Islander, or they did before I moved out here in 2006.
