I didn't say anything about photos :lol: ....I just told you what colour it was :worried:

Those photos are no very representative and landor comes out badly in pics with the grey looking white and the blue too dark on many.

But what would I know?? :dunno:

Could be you screen settings of course.

Yes, I remember that, too. It didn't last long and I only slipped there once. Unfortunately it was August Bank Holiday 1972. I was there for three days and everything was closed - it was soooo boring.
You really wouldn't choose to spend August Bank Holiday in a Birmingham city centre hotel in 1972, would you? :lol:

For the record, I flew in on a Super from JFK, G-ASGL, and flew back out to JFK on a Standard, G-ARVB.

Funny how I only saw it once at Heathrow, when regular 92-94 and never saw on on stand or see pics of them??

Mind you I don't have time to wade through all the BA 737 pics on the net.........

Thanks, Steve.

I'm just giving the demo version a try now. I had been using the freeware EGBB scenery by Phil Reynolds. The UK2000 Extreme EGBB scenery seems to run more smoothly and have a better frame rate than the freeware I was using. It looks a little different (softer textures and the Fire Station buildings look too light), but I'm sure I'll get used to this.

When I was with BIA, we did a charter form Brum to Salzburg with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Aircraft (G-AYWB) got airborne and about a minute later, huge flash and bang, mist through the cabin, lots of airflow noise.

Lightning strike had removed the entire nose cone! Back for overweight landing.

Replacement aircraft flown in with new nose cone in hold, while compass swings and other checks carried out on 'WB.
